The Beach of the Two Sisters
Among wonders of the Marche, which attract tourists to spend a holiday there, there is unquestionably the Beach of the Two Sisters. Not only is it one of the most famous beaches in the Riviera del Conero and the Marches, but it now has worldwide fame. It is a real paradise, for those looking for a beach with an unspoiled appearance, where there are no bars, restaurants, equipment, but only the beauty of Mother Nature reigns. We are located in the area of sirolo, the pearl of the Conero Riviera. But we are still far from that light and pleasant worldliness of its center. It is not at all easy to get to Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle, perhaps this is one of his fortunes for someone. It is in fact located in a natural cove to the north of the other two famous beaches of San Michele and Sassi Neri di Sirolo.
How to get to the Due Sorelle beach
In this paradise away from the daily noise and din, you can get there in two ways. Most tourists arrive in boat, starting from Portonovo or from Numana. There are private boats that depart from Marcelli and the small port of Numana, in order to arrive early in the morning in this fantastic beach of the Conero Riviera. These private companies will then take the bathers in the afternoon to bring them back to where they left off. We advise you to inquire about this possibility by going the day before at the Porticciolo di Numana, where you will find the Information Offices relating to this trip. The other way to get to Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle is by land. A real one awaits you trekking excursion, starting on foot from the center of Sirolo.
This adventure, surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub, starts from the Sirolo cemetery car park, which can be reached on foot from the center. It takes direction Passo del Lupo: there will be an obvious path, sometimes even panoramic, that will lead you to the most evocative and fairytale-like part of Monte Conero. In fact, you can walk along a natural path where you can smell the forest and contemplate the immensity of the sea in the distance. After a slight climb of about half an hour, you begin to descend to one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the area. You will recognize this point because you will find a large stone boulder and a sign: this is where the most suggestive and adventurous part that leads to the Due Sorelle beach begins. It is not a path for everyone, you need to be trained and not suffer from heights. It is necessary to inquire if at certain times of the year the Passo del Lupo path is forbidden by the local authorities! After about half an hour of descent in a zigzag path, with a fantastic snake shape, between breathtaking views and a sense of emptiness towards the sea, you arrive at your destination.
How is the Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle made
We recommend that you first get off at Two sisters on a midweek morning, to avoid the presence of too many people. This is a paradise to literally feast your eyes on a Beauty, which seems pristine. You might have the feeling of being in a cove of Greece perhaps, thanks to the white stone that prevails around. The beach is sometimes stony, and sometimes sandy. The water is clean and transparent, and there are many shades of green when the sun illuminates it! If you decide to stop for a long time on the Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle, we recommend hats and umbrella to protect you from the strong sun. There is little shade during the day, you can only find it in the late afternoon during the summer. Another moment that we advise you to experience here during the summer is sunset: a real joy for the eyes of the soul.
